Product lines and commercial models

Two product lines for two distinct operational workflows.

MaeWest Cargo Operations provides Office and Field applications for operational analytics and QHSE. MaeWest Blending provides Trader and FSO applications for blend planning and signed vessel execution.

Two product paths

Cargo Operations: start with Desktop for single-user operation, then move to Office for shared records, signed Field submissions, and administrator-level control.

Blending: deploy Trader and FSO as a pair for live charter execution, with a planned Trader edition for shore-side optimisation workflows.

Cargo Operations at a glance

Operational control and evidence for cargo teams.

MaeWest Cargo Operations is designed for operators and consultants who need reliable voyage analytics, repeatable reporting, and QHSE governance in the same working system.

Blending at a glance

Blend engine-led planning for Traders and FSO teams.

MaeWest Blending supports blend planning decisions on shore while keeping vessel execution records aligned. The product line supports paired Trader/FSO deployment and a planned Trader-only path.

Tier matrix

Choose the product line that matches the mission.

Cargo Operations scales from single-user Desktop to connected Office and Field teams. Blending is charter-linked for vessel execution and expanding toward a Trader-only edition.

Deployment detail

Operational, commercial, and lifecycle details.

Cargo Operations Desktop vs Office

Desktop tiers are for standalone, single-user operation where the same person captures, reviews, and reports on their own records. Office tiers are for controlled multi-user operation where the Office database becomes the system of record.

Within Desktop, upgrades move from Essentials to Professional to Compliance. Moving from Desktop Compliance into Office is a product-family migration because the backend and collaboration model change.

Field-to-Office workflow

Connected Office deployments do not require a live network connection between Field users and the Office server. Field clients prepare signed transfer bundles and deliver them by USB, network share, email, or another controlled file-transfer route.

On import, Office verifies the bundle and writes accepted records into the shared database, preserving a traceable path from Field submission to Office record.

QHSE Management System

Enterprise QHSE Management adds a turnkey QHSE MS with Codes of Practice, HSE and operational procedures, structured forms, live saving to user-machine folders, retrievable and editable record history, and report templates for Loading, Outturn, STS, Tank Cleaning, and Suitability inspections.

The QHSE material is designed to support operational discipline, internal review, and supervised third-party audit activity without replacing the customer's own certification responsibilities.

Blending workflow and scenario planning

MaeWest Blending is designed for rapid blend-path exploration before cargo commitments are made. Traders can model alternative recipes, test constraints, and issue signed instructions from a controlled commercial baseline.

What-if scenarios make the decision process explicit: a change in quality target, component availability, or economics can be tested before operations are instructed.

FSO & Trader charter-linked subscription

An FSO deployment is time-boxed by its Charter Party — typically six to twelve months — after which the vessel may roll off charter or be re-flagged for a new charter party. The FSO & Trader tier is therefore priced as an annual per-vessel subscription that runs while the charter is live and can be renewed, paused, or reassigned when the next charter begins.

Reconfiguration between charters (new tank layout, new vessel identity, new Trader counterparty) is covered by the active subscription rather than treated as a fresh purchase. Extra Field installs use the standard add-on pricing.

When a subscription ends, the customer can convert to a low-cost archive licence that keeps the signed audit chain readable and exportable for auditors without renewing the full active seat.

Audit chain and SHA-256 provenance

MaeWest records a tamper-evident audit chain using content hashes so operational and commercial changes can be traced across both product lines.

The goal is defensible provenance: if a report, instruction, or execution record is challenged, the underlying path can be checked independently rather than relying only on exported documents.

Desktop-to-Office migration

A customer can start with a Desktop tier and later move to Office when collaboration, Field submissions, or centralised administration becomes necessary. Because Desktop and Office use different deployment models, this is handled as a planned migration rather than a simple licence switch.

The intended migration path preserves existing Desktop business data while moving the customer into the Office database and connected workflow.

Prices are starting prices and remain subject to final licence terms, implementation scope, and support agreement. Additional Office Field installations can be added to a subscription at £150 per unit or £700 per five units. Desktop-to-Office migration is a product-family change and may require a planned data migration. Trader & FSO is charter-linked: the active subscription can be renewed or reassigned at charter roll-over, and expired subscriptions may be converted to a read-only archive licence so the signed audit chain remains available to auditors. Trader Edition is a planned MaeWest Blending offer and release scope is subject to final product definition.
